Mazes: Introduction

After a long hiatus for summer, I have another blog series for you. This one shall cover programmatic generation of random mazes. These mazes would be suitable for printing and solving by hand, or as the terrain for some dungeon-crawling top-down loot-em-up.

Some readers have complained that my posts tend to be a bit difficult to follow, as I leave the pay-off to the end. To get around this, I will start out by showing the results we will eventually be able to get to. In the image below, find the path between the four corners.
